The journey began in 2002, when Mr. Maark Amalraj, along with his elder brother Mr. Mariya Prakash, established a small manufacturing unit named Maark Wood World in a modest 1,000 sq. ft. space. With limited investment but strong determination, the focus was on manufacturing essential furniture such as computer tables, sofas and office furnishings, catering to the growing needs of customers. With increasing market understanding and business growth, Mr. Maark Amalraj started a retail venture in 2005, bringing furniture solutions directly to customers and strengthening the brand’s presence in the industry. A major turning point came in 2006, when Ms. Malarvizhi Shanmugasundaram joined the journey after marriage, becoming an active partner in the business. Together, they expanded manufacturing operations and laid the foundation for long-term growth. Today, both serve as partners and directors, leading the organisation with a shared vision and commitment. Over the years, the brand continuously evolved to meet changing customer lifestyles. Premium collections and larger showroom concepts were introduced, leading to the launch of The Maark Trendz – a modern lifestyle furniture destination offering furniture, furnishings and complete interior solutions under one roof. To further strengthen its capabilities, the company established a large manufacturing facility spread across 5 acres, equipped with advanced technology and efficient production systems. The organisation now operates as a Private Limited Company, reflecting its structured growth and professional management. Understanding the increasing demand for holistic home solutions, the group launched Aasaary, a dedicated interior solutions brand, offering end-to-end design and execution services for homes, offices and commercial spaces. The retail network continued to expand with multiple experience centres, including Tiruppur (2017), Avinashi Road – Coimbatore, and Erode (2022), bringing modern furniture and interior solutions closer to customers. Further expansion plans, including the upcoming Gobi store, reflect the brand’s ongoing growth journey. In addition to in-house manufacturing, The Maark Trendz offers carefully curated imported furniture collections sourced from countries such as Italy, Malaysia, Indonesia and China, combining global design trends with dependable local service.
