Venturing into the forte of building blocks and setting up a business enterprise started way back in 1993, when Sri G. Ramaiah founded Maxlite. The company was expanded exponentially with Sri R. Darshan coming on board. The eager entrepreneurs initiated with the manufacturing of Red Clay Bricks and forayed into several genres of construction materials. Manufacturing of red clay bricks led to depletion of the fertile top layer of the soil and in the process causing harm to the environment. To triumph over this impairment Sri G Ramaiah and Sri R. Darshan researched and came up with the innovative idea of using Fly ash, an industrial pollutant in a constructive way to manufacture AAC blocks. Together the father and son duo worked wonders by bringing in the fabrication of the environment friendly AAC blocks that led to a greener revolution in the construction world. The use of Fly ash in AAC blocks initiated a carbon negative progression, resulting in acquiring Carbon Credit points to the company. The Maxlite plant, a pioneering setup in developing AAC blocks situated in Bangalore, Karnataka renders support to numerous construction projects of various magnitudes with its production capacity of 500cum per day.
