Bromine (Br) is natural element. Bromine is reddish-brown colour with strong unpleasant odour liquid. It is toxic and corrosive in nature. It must be handled with protective gear as it could cause skin burns and its vapour may irritate eyes and respiratory system. It is used in water treatment as disinfectant, as flame retardant in different materials, in dyes and photographic chemicals and in pharmaceuticals industry for medications.
