Our Group’s foundation was laid by our late founder, Sh. Sewa Ram Aggarwal, whose vision and guidance has helped the group to command leadership positions across various industries. His vision to become a household name across product categories resonates with the reputation of products in SMC Group’s umbrella. SMC Power Generation Ltd was incorporated in the year 2000 for establishment of an integrated Steel Plant, which was established in the year 2004, under an MOU with the state Govt at Jharsuguda, Odisha. SMC Power has enjoyed a formidable position, being one of the first entrants in Odhisa’s Steel industry. Despite Industry facing headwinds in the past, the SMC has remained a profitable enterprise since inception. In January 2020, we have acquired an integrated Steel Plant through NCLT in liquidation process which was formerly known as Concast Steel and Power Limited. 8 months later we started production in this unit.
