Photo guide

A photo that looks like evidence, not an advertisement.

Most profiles on the register carry no photo. A real photograph of a real product on a real floor is the cheapest trust signal a factory can add, and the one a trader cannot fake for long. Ten rules, then what we do with your upload.

The ten rules

  1. 01
Your own product, your own floor.
No stock photos, no catalogue scans, no images taken from another site. We check where an image came from and remove copies.
  2. 02
    No text in the image.
No prices, phone numbers, offers, other brands' logos or watermarks. BharatSeal shows price, minimum order and contact as data beside the photo.
  3. 03
    One product per photo.
No collages, no grids of six variants. Upload variants as separate images.
  4. 04
    Fill the frame.
The product takes 60 to 80 percent of the picture, centred, in 4:3 or 1:1. We crop to the card, so leave a little room on every side.
  5. 05
    Plain, even light.
Daylight from a window or an open shutter, or the factory's own lights. No flash straight on, no coloured LED, no filters.
  6. 06
    A clean background.
A plain wall, a table, the machine that makes the product, or a pallet. Not a busy desk, not a showroom mirror.
  7. 07
    Sharp and large.
At least 1200 px on the long edge. Any phone from 2020 onwards is enough. JPG, PNG or WebP under 25 MB.
  8. 08
    In this order.
First the product alone. Second the product being made or tested. Third the packaging or the scale of a real order: a carton, a pallet, a loaded truck.
  9. 09
    People are welcome.
Operators at a machine, a supervisor with the batch. Ask them first.
  10. 10
    Straight, not tilted.
Level the horizon. Shoot at the product's height, not from above a desk.
Works
  • A brass fitting on the lathe that made it
  • One carton of finished product, label readable
  • The floor with people working, shot from the aisle
Does not work
  • A festive offer banner with a price on it
  • A collage of nine colour variants
  • A photo of another site's catalogue page
