Talco - Dintec is a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CEPT) for the cluster of tanneries at Dindigul, established in 1996. The Talco-Dintec works under the management of M/s. Talco Dindigul Tanners Enviro Control Systems (P) Ltd. Currently, about 49 tanneries are in operation, connected to the DINTEC CETP to process raw hides and skins to semi-finished EI leather. The tanning industry is one of the oldest industries in Tamil Nadu, with Dindigul being an important tannery cluster. The DINTEC CETP was established during 1996 with Central and State Government assistance.
