Common questions
How can I check an Indian manufacturer for free?
Yes, free and instant, with no sign-up. Type the company name, GSTIN or CIN in the checker above. BharatSeal searches its register of manufacturers, built from the MCA company master and the MSME ministry's Udyog Aadhaar and Udyam registers, and shows which register holds which record.
How do I check if a GSTIN is genuine?
Paste the 15-character GSTIN (for example 29ABCDE1234F1Z5) into the checker. If a manufacturer on our register has that GSTIN on file, you see it, with the date we last read the GST record. This is not a live check with the GST Network. For today's status, use Search Taxpayer on gst.gov.in. If the name doesn't match who you're dealing with, treat that as a warning.
What is a CIN and how do I check it?
A CIN (Corporate Identity Number) is the 21-character identifier the Ministry of Corporate Affairs assigns to every registered company, e.g. U27100MH1907PLC000260. Paste it into the checker: if the company is on our register of manufacturers, you get an exact match with the MCA record we hold.
How this check works
BharatSeal keeps a register of Indian manufacturers built from government sources: the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA company master) and the MSME ministry's Udyog Aadhaar and Udyam registers, with GSTIN where on file. This check searches that register; it does not query a government portal. A result shows which register holds which record, with the record number. BharatSeal has not checked these records separately. The ownership line above a result says whether the company's claim proved it is the manufacturer.
