COMPOSITION
Each ml contains :
Buparvaquone 50 mg
Sorbitan mono oleate B.P. 100 mg
Oil Base Q.S.
INDICATIONS
It is indicated for theileriosis (East coast fever, corridor disease, zimbabwen theileriosis, tropical theileriosis) caused by intracellular protozoan parasites theileria parvatheileria parva bovis, theileria parva lawrencei, t.annulata, t.mutans and t.orientalis sergenti in cattle. It is active agains both the schizont and piroplasm stages of theileria spp., and may be used during the incubation period of the disease, or when clinical signs are apparent.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Due to the inhibiting effects of theileriosis on the immune system, vaccination should be delayed until the animal has recovered from theileriosis.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
A single dose of 1 ml bupacin injection per 20 kg bodyweight.
(2.5 mg buparvaquone per kg bodyweight). In severe cases the treatment may be repeated within 48-72 hours. Not more than 10 ml should be injected in to a single site.
Successive injections should be administered at different sites.
ADMINISTRATION
Intramuscular injection in to the neck muscles.
