KKSK International, operating under our tannery division, KKSK Tanning Co Pvt Ltd, is an enterprise specializing in the manufacture and export of premium calf and cow leathers. The acronym KKSK honors our founding father, Mr. KKS Khader Mohideen Sahib, who established the company's foundation in the 1930s by setting up an East India (EI) tannery in Erode. After the passing of Mr. Khader Mohideen Sahib, the business was entrusted to his two teenage sons in 1982. Mr. Rafiq, who was 18 years old at the time and is now the CEO of KKSK International, took the helm. Under his leadership, the company has continued to thrive and expand, with no turning back. KKSK has been a trendsetter from the very beginning. We were the first large-scale industrialized wet blue producer and one of the largest raw material stockists in the country. Today, we are among the largest finished leather exporters, with an annual capacity of 24.0 million square feet. We have consistently set benchmarks for performance and quality standards and continue to lead the industry in innovation and excellence. KKSK was the first to obtain ISO 14001 Certification and the first raw hide to finished leather processor to earn an LWG Gold Certification. We also hold the distinction of being the first tannery in the country to patent our recycling system, which significantly reduces water consumption. Our innovative efforts have earned us the "Best Futuristic Tech" award from UNIDO. Currently, we use less than 1 liter of process water per square foot for the production of finished leathers.
