Agri Processing

Working out of Flat 604 in the Kumar Samruddhi building here in Vishrantwadi is a bit different than what people might expect for an agro business. We have our desks set up in the A-5 block and spend most of our days looking at papers and talking to suppliers on the phone. Pune gets quite warm in the afternoons so we usually keep the windows open to catch a breeze while we track our inventory. It isn't a massive corporate floor with fancy carpets or anything like that. Just a regular space where we get the job done. The neighborhood is mostly quiet which helps when we are trying to organize shipments for the different agro products we handle. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow and we end up taking the stairs but that is just part of being here. We started this because we wanted to be involved in the agricultural supply chain from right here in the city. It takes a lot of coordination to make sure everything moves on time. We usually have tea together in the small kitchen area before the afternoon rush starts. It is honest work and we try to keep things simple without making a big fuss about it. Being in a residential building means we know our neighbors and they know us which is a nice change from those big industrial parks.
