Filwel MR-125 is a cored wire designed for rebuilding of DI pipe moulds by submerged arc welding under suitable flux. The weld deposit is a low-alloy steel with excellent resistance to deformation under high stresses and elevated working temperatures. The weld deposit is relatively pure and has fewer impurities. The wire is also used for building up of worn-out componenets made of low alloy or tool steels and for depositing a buffer-layer prior to depositing hardfacing alloys
